About Stacie McGinn
Stacie McGinn is a business executive and nonprofit leader who has given back to her community.
As the General Counsel of the Republican Party of Mecklenburg County, Stacie made election integrity a top priority.
-
For the first time in MeckGOP’s history, McGinn spearheaded an effort to replace non-Republican judges proposed to serve as Republican judges with registered Republicans. Her efforts resulted in 30 new Republican judges, including 6 Republican Chief Judges and an 11% overall increase in the number of registered Republicans serving as poll judges.
-
McGinn also recruited over 40 poll observers for the early election cycle, ensuring every key early voting site had a poll observer during this period.

Stacie also played a crucial role helping to elect Tariq Bokhari to the Charlotte City Council during the recent municipal elections. She worked tirelessly to assemble and install signs in the area, knocked on doors and made numerous phone calls on his behalf.
McGinn serves on the board of the Republican Women of Greater Charlotte as the head of Legislation and Public Policy. In this role, she:
-
partnered with Moms for Liberty to craft a petition in support of the Parents’ Bill of Rights that was signed by over 300 supporters; and actively lobbied in the halls of the NC General Assembly on behalf of the bill, which has become law; and
-
wrote and published a series of white papers on key conservative issues such as education and crime.
Stacie McGinn grew up in a large military family out west, where she and her sisters rode quarter horses and enjoyed the great outdoors. Her father was a West Point graduate, an Air Force pilot and a decorated veteran of three wars, while her mother graduated with distinction with a degree in architecture from Rice University.

A graduate of public schools in New Mexico, Stacie received her Bachelors in Business Administration, with concentrations in Economics and Finance (with honors) from Baylor University. After a short stint as a management trainee with Texas’ largest bank, she was selected from her training program by the bank’s chairman to serve in Washington, D.C. on the “Grace Commission,” an initiative of President Ronald Reagan that successfully brought private sector practices to the federal government.
Stacie worked full-time as a bank commercial lending officer, while she attended law school at night. She graduated cum laude from Georgetown Law School.
Stacie went to work for a firm renowned for its expertise in mergers and acquisitions. She also helped found the firm’s Consumer Protection Regulatory Investigations and Enforcement group and helped write a book on consumer protection law.
McGinn was recruited by Bank of America to serve as Deputy General Counsel of the bank’s international consumer group, where she managed a group of over 100 attorneys worldwide. She was among the top 100 executives at Bank of America, a company with over 200,000 employees and $3 trillion in assets.
In her free time, Stacie enjoys the outdoors and adventure. She loves the Carolina mountains and has hiked Mount Mitchell several times. She hiked to Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, climbed Table Mountain in Cape Town and climbed Quandary Peak (a fourteener) in the Rockies. Most recently, Stacie climbed Mount Fuji in Japan as a tribute to her father, who had climbed this iconic mountain 77 years earlier as a young soldier.
Always ready for a new challenge, Stacie is ready to bring her extensive executive experience, strategic vision and willingness to work hard to the constituents of District 42 as their next state Senator.
