Stacie McGinn's Record of Excellence.

Stacie McGinn graduated from public schools in New Mexico and earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration with honors from Baylor University, concentrating in Economics and Finance.

Working during the day while attending Georgetown Law at night, she later became a partner at Skadden, working on bank mergers and acquisitions during a major period of industry consolidation, as well as consumer protection matters.

As a partner at a renowned law firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, Stacie co-founded the Consumer Protection Regulatory Investigations and Enforcement group. She co-authored a book on consumer protection law.

Recruited as a top executive for Bank of America overseeing the bank’s global consumer legal group, she worked on a team that managed a $30 billion budget, about the same size as our state’s budget. Stacie has made Charlotte her home for the last 21 years.

Rooted in Family Values

Stacie McGinn grew up in a vibrant military family, often on the move due to her father's service. Her father, a West Point graduate, Air Force pilot, and decorated veteran of three wars, embodied dedication and patriotism. Her mother, one of the first female architecture graduates from Rice University, managed their dynamic household with grace and strength.

Stacie's upbringing instilled in her the values of hard work, honesty, integrity, family, faith, and love of country.

Lover of the Great Outdoors

Raised in the West, Stacie and her sisters spent their childhood riding horses and exploring the outdoors. Her love for adventure has taken her to Everest Base Camp, the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Table Mountain in Cape Town, and Quandary Peak, one of the Rockies' fourteeners. Recently, she climbed Mount Fuji in Japan, honoring her father who ascended the same mountain 77 years prior as a young soldier.
